Mechanical Engineer

Mechanical Engineer

As a Mechanical Engineer, you design, analyze, and build the vehicle’s mechanical systems. You balance weight, stiffness, efficiency, safety, and manufacturability—then take designs through production, assembly, and verification on track.

Mechanical Systems & Vehicle Integration

From CAD and simulations to parts on the car.

Highlights

  • Suspension, steering, braking
  • FEA/CFD-driven optimization
  • Production, assembly, validation
What you willl do
  • Design and optimize mechanical systems including suspension, steering, and braking (with clear targets for mass, efficiency, and safety).
  • Perform (a lot of) simulations and analyses (e.g., FEA/CFD) to validate designs and optimize weight of every part while maintaining performance.
  • Create manufacturing drawings and BOMs; collaborate with partners to source and fabricate components.
  • Lead or support the whole production, build, assembly, and testing of the solar car.
  • Collaborate with other engineers to ensure seamless integration of all components in the car.
  • Integrate with other disciplines (Structural, Electrical, Aero) to ensure clean packaging and serviceability.
  • Test and validate components; analyze results to verify requirements, ensure performance and safety and improve reliability.
  • Contribute to innovation by exploring new materials, manufacturing processes and working on new innovation concepts.
  • Arrange the entire engineering process yourself; from concept, engineering, optimization and analysis to creating technical drawings, finding manufacturing partners, ordering, assembly, and testing.
Are you...
  • Passionate about engineering, innovation, and sustainability?
  • Experienced or eager to learn in CAD design (SolidWorks, ANSYS)?
  • Analytical, precise, and solution-oriented?
  • Comfortable working in a team-based, multidisciplinary environment?
  • Proactive and motivated to turn ideas into real-world results?
  • Ready to fully commit to an unforgettable, hands-on project experience?
